Limelight Properties was established as a self-funded real estate company that began through a single investment by its founders, Mitch and Phalen. In less than five years, the company has grown from its first residential property to a portfolio of $30+ million in commercial multi-family real estate. The portfolio is wholly owned and focuses on acquiring undervalued assets that can be force appreciated through operational efficiencies.
The company's assets are concentrated in key markets, specifically in Southwestern Ontario and Western Canada. By using a data-driven approach, the company targets regions with low vacancy rates, steady population growth, a diversified jobs market, and strong household income.
Our acquisition strategy is centred around identifying properties that have the potential to improve operational efficiency and enhance the quality of living for our tenants. Our approach is straightforward, we focus on finding innovative ways to decrease overhead expenses through efficient building systems that support a reduced utility consumption, resulting in more environmentally friendly properties with reduced operating costs.

With a critical eye for detail Phalen oversees the day to day administrative and financial duties.
Phalen has been part of every investment to date and continues to contribute to the overall investment strategy and growth forecasting.
Mitch Dudman
Professionally, Mitch participated on project teams for design and engineering of buildings throughout Canada and the US.
Mitch began real estate investing at the age 21. Since this time he has enjoyed the continued education that is required as well as the excitement and challenge each investment brings.
